My Bi-Weekly Gas Station Trip

Fill-up the car (12/gal.)
&
(4) 5-gallon gas cans

Total = 32 gallons

$3.33/gal. x 32 gallons = $106.56

Minus my $2.20/gal. Giant/Shell Gas Points

Paid $ 36.16

I Saved: $70.40

That's $1.13 per gallon...WHAT YEAR IS THIS?!?!?!

I would of paid $39.96 JUST to fill-up my car without the Gas Points Program.

This is how Couponers use coupons at the pump.

FREE FREE FREE

Everything in this picture was completely free.
When a manufacturer puts out multiple values of the same coupon to vary by region...
My region gets the one you don't want.
A local grocer that is not a part of a big chain doubles $1 coupons.
Everything in this picture would of cost me $40 but thanks to those 10 for $10 sales I put my $1 off 2 product coupons to use.
I guess I am happy I didn't get that .35/1 coupons after all.

....the quicker picker upper

To the everyday non-couponer being on the last roll of paper towels would be no big deal.
"Eh, I'll pick a roll or pack up when I go to the store."
This is not the case for even a slightly extreme couponer.
I had been searching for deals for a few weeks but nothing was catching my eye as a good deal.
I was on my last roll and there was less then half left when a large package showed up on my porch Friday afternoon.
This is what I found inside that package....

It was sent from P&G(thanks guys).
I still don't know why I got it.
There was no letter or anything inside to tell me why I recieved this wonderful surprise.
My best guess would be I entered a giveaway probably on facebook-gotta love that "like" button.

....super cheap gas

♥Got to Love Giant and it's Gas Points♥

The deal that made it all possible.
~Buy 4 Pampers Baby Wipes at $1.99ea get 200 Bonus Points~
I used the .75/1 Pampers Wipes found HERE which doubled to $1.50 making them only $.49ea.
So I bought 28 of them.
I trade coupons with others on a coupon forum I belong to so I got to stock up on them.
PLUS I reached 2200 points which is $2.20 off per gallon up to 35 gallons.
Our car only has a 12 gallon gas tank and I couldn't waste 23 gallons in HUGE savings.

So I went to a local hardware store and bought (4) five gallon gas cans.

(Cost $52.00, but an investment that pays off immediately)

Then I drove to the local Shell Gas Station, well my husband did this part of "the hustle" as he calls my couponing.

Between our car and the gas cans we could only get a little over 32 gallons but we only paid
$50.06
Saving $70.65*
*more then I paid for the gas cans

Need Proof????

....hair dye

I haven't dyed my hair in a very long time but recently thought about it after getting a coupon for a Free bottle of John Frieda. Every month manufacturers put out tons of coupons for hair dye and every month they end up expiring because I don't use them. Well I used them this month!!!
CVS currently has lots of select hair dye at 75% off making them around $2.25 each. I personally don't need 47 bottles of hair dye for myself so I will be giving a couple away to family and the rest I will donate to a shelter for women.

My 5 Store Adventure...

How much did I pay out of pocket for all this?.....$10.75....Not bad at all but it gets better.
With the current monthly promotions I got back $41.00 in Extra Bucks making this a $30.25 money maker as couponers call it.

Got to L♥ve Clearance

....welcoming 2012

I hope everyone had a great holiday and Santa brought you what you asked for. It's the new year and I am ready to get back into doing things I haven't really done since having my son. I am setting some goals up for myself and my family for the new year. Here's what I got so far:

#1~Lose Weight- there's an original resolution, right!?!
#2~More Patience-Can be very hard with a toddler and a infant but I have to work on it.
#3~Take a vacation-Haven't had a real vacation in 4 years
#4~Buy a House- Hopefully by years end we will be home owners
#5~Bake more Cakes-but give them away or #1 is out the window
#6~USE MORE COUPONS-which will help us reach goals #'s 3 & 4

I hope everyone is able to achieve their resolutions this year.
